Burlington Sock Puppets News Release
Indians LHP Reid Santos (3-3) pitched six innings of one hit baseball to lead Burlington to a 3-1 win over Johnson City. Santos struck out nine and retired 15 consecutive Cardinals at one point.
Burlington RHP Jesus Soto fought through two consecutive bases loaded jams in the eighth and ninth innings to hold on for his fourth save of the season.
Indians RF Chad Longworth was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Thursday evening is Thirsty Thursday with sodas and draft beers just one dollar presented by Cheerwine and Budweiser.
Saturday Night is LabCorp Fireworks Night starting at 7PM. Fireworks will follow the Indians ballgame with Danville.
