Ohio Valley Greyhounds News Release
The Greyhounds had the bye rug pulled from underneath their feet, as the league's new schedule for the weekend features a matchup of the two premier teams of the Atlantic Conference.
Lexington comes in with a clean slate so far, including victories over Show Me and Fort Wayne (twice). The Horsemen have shown no lack of excitement, beating the Believers in two overtimes as well as a last-ditch effort at Fort Wayne, with Dusty Bonner finding Harry Lewis in the end zone with three ticks left on the clock for a 51-48 triumph.
The Greyhounds have yet to be challenged in their first three outings, winning their contests by an average margin of 32 points. Last Saturday, the Hounds tested the Xtreme and their turf, with the Hounds rolling to a 36-7 halftime lead and a 50-20 final.
Tonight's contest extends last year's series drama, in which the Greyhounds beat Lexington at Rupp Arena in a nailbiter, followed by a 70-27 romp as well as a 51-42 win in the first round of the NIFL playoffs.
