NIFL Announces Schedule Changes
Published on April 16, 2004 under National Indoor Football League (NIFL) News Release
LAFAYETTE, LA--The National Indoor Football League announced today adjustments to the 2004 schedule, effective immediately.
All teams will play a 14-game schedule across the board. In the re-scheduling process, no team lost any originally scheduled home contests, although several opponents have been adjusted.
"We had three goals in mind when we re-examined the schedule," NIFL President Carolyn Shiver said. "We wanted first and foremost for all teams to keep their originally scheduled home dates, we wanted each team to play 14 dates, and we wanted to keep travel at a relative constant, as budgets are already set. As a league, we feel strongly that all of these goals were met."
The franchise in Myrtle Beach has also been re-added to the 2004 schedule, as they will play both home and road games this season.
