Tonight, join the Rayz for "A Night with the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber of Commerce" presented by Amigo and Tejas Broadcasting. Come celebrate the Latin flavor of the Coastal Bend with your Corpus Christi Rayz. Entertainment at the game will be headlined by favorite South Texas band, The Frijoles Romanticos. Tickets for the game begin at just $10(plus a $1.50 facility fee). There will be Mariachi bands, Latin singers and Mexican Dancers as the Rayz welcome Corpus Christi's Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The Rayz will take on their rivals the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. The Rayz are 6-0-2 against the Bees this year, and will look to stay undefeated as they play their final game of the weekend. Come support the Rayz before they head on the road for four of their next five games.
The Rayz beat the Austin Ice Bats 5-2 last night in an entertaining game that featured a line brawl midway through the third period. The win increased the Rayz season total to 40 points and placed them in sole possession of first place in the Southeast Division. A total of 162 penalty minutes between the two teams highlighted a game that saw the Rayz burst open for three third period goals to break a 2-2 tie. The win snapped Austin's four game winning streak and moved the Rayz to 18-13-4 on the season, and 1-0-1 on the weekend.
Make your weekend plans to see your first-place Rayz at the American Bank Center tonight. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations and the American Bank Center Box Office. For more information, please contact the Rayz at (361)814-PUCK or visit them online at www.ccrayz.com.
