Impact and EMSB Launch 9th Edition of Stay-In-School Program

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact and the English Montreal School Board (EMSB) have announced that the successful stay-in-school program called All the Way with the Impact ( Jusqu'au Bout avec l'Impact) will return for a ninth consecutive year, designed to promote the importance of persevering in school.

The official launch took place on Thursday at Honoré-Mercier Elementary School in St. Léonard. Special guests on hand were goalkeeper Troy Perkins and technical director Matt Jordan.

Over the next few weeks, Impact players will visit several EMSB schools to discuss with kids the importance of staying in school and striving for excellence. Emphasis will be given to the values of initiative-taking, discipline and cooperation in achieving their goals.

As part of the partnership, the traditional "EMSB Night" will take place on Wednesday, May 14 (7:30pm) at Stade Saputo with a game against either Ottawa or Edmonton. This is part of the Amway Canadian Championship, which involves the five top professional clubs in Canada, in the race to qualify for the CONCACAF Champions League.Tickets can be purchased online for only $10 www.emsb.qc.ca/impact.
