Upcoming Games
Sunday's game will be the Ignition's fifth of six meetings with the KiXX this season and the third time the two will meet as the League's top two teams during the 2006-07 campaign. Detroit took the series opener on November 19 with a 10-8 OT win at Philadelphia on November 11. The KiXX responded with a 12-10 victory in another overtime game on November 19 and an 8-6 win on January 20 off a two-point goal with 11 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter at the Wachovia Spectrum.
KiXX Players to Watch:
Don D'Ambra - The only player/head coach remaining in the MISL, D'Ambra has been turning in a banner year with the KiXX this season. The native Philadelphian has 21 total goals this season for a team-high 56 points and an impressive five power play goals. D'Ambra was traded back to the KiXX on October 19, 2006 after being selected tenth overall by the Ignition in the 2006 MISL Expansion Draft.
Tony Donatelli - Although Detroit has held him to a League-low four points this season, Donatelli has been tearing up the MISL in his rookie year. With 37 points in 19 contests this season, this Temple University graduate looks to make a push for the League's Rookie-of-the-Year Award.
Stat of the Week:
In the four previous Ignition-KiXX contests this season, no game has been decided by more than two points. In three losses to Philadelphia, Detroit has fallen by a total of five points.
