(Newark, NJ - February 18, 2009) - Seven different Ignition players found the back of the net this afternoon in Detroit's 21-13 rout of the New Jersey Ironmen (4-7). Today's victory moves the Ignition (7-3) into sole possession of first place, a half-game ahead of the Milwaukee Wave (7-4).

Detroit wasted no time getting on the board, as Kyt Selaidopoulos and Ryan Mack scored goals a few seconds apart to give the Ignition an early 4-0 lead. The Ironmen answered right back, evening the clubs up at 4 thanks to goals from Chile Farias and Randi Patterson.

Following a two-pointer from New Jersey's Tiguinho five minutes into the second, Detroit launched an eleven point run with goals from Drew Crawford, Leo Gibson, Zach Wilkes and Josh Rife, who had a three-point and a two-point score. Farias and Adauto Neto tried to close the gap for the Ironmen with a goal each, bringing the score to 15-10 heading into the fourth.

Selaidopoulos opened the final stanza for Detroit with his second tally of the match, an unassisted two-point goal at 2:21. Farias notched his third of the game at 6:53, but Mack and Drew Ducker knocked in two more for the Ignition to bring the final score to 21-13.
