Ignition Names Pete Wyatt Vice President Of Partnership Development

(Southfield, Mich., September 27, 2007) - The Detroit Ignition has named Pete Wyatt Vice President of Partnership Development, the club announced today. Wyatt comes to Detroit from the National Basketball Association's New Orleans Hornets, where he served as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to his tenure with the Hornets, Wyatt held various marketing leadership positions with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, ADVO, Inc. and Anheuser Busch, Inc.

"I'm looking forward to the opportunity to introduce the Detroit metropolitan area to a new kind of sports excitement," Wyatt said.

Originally from Alton, Illinois, Wyatt received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Southern Illinois University.

The Ignition also announced today that team President Greg Bibb has resigned from his position. Bibb will be serving as Chief Operating Officer for the Washington Mystics of the Women's National Basketball Association effective October 1. Bibb has been with the Ignition since September 2005, when he was appointed President of the team.

The Detroit Ignition is a member club of the Major Indoor Soccer League, and begins the team's second season in November 2007 after advancing to the MISL Championship Finals during the 2006-07 season.
