Ignition fall to Ironmen, 8-6, in Newark

(Southfield, Mich.) - The Detroit Ignition (4-2) were defeated by the New Jersey Ironmen (4-1) 8-6 tonight in Newark, New Jersey. Tonight's match-up was the first home game for the expansion Ironmen.

Detroit's goals were scored by forwards Hewerton Moreira and Worteh Sampson, and midfielder Ze Roberto. Sampson notched two assists on the night, while scoring his goal unassisted.

The Ignition will travel to Baltimore on Saturday, December 8 to take on the Blast (5-2).

The Detroit Ignition is a member club of the Major Indoor Soccer League, and begins the team's second season in November 2007 after advancing to the MISL Championship Finals during the 2006-07 season.
