Ignition defeated by La Raza de Monterrey, 14-10

(Southfield, Mich.) - The Detroit Ignition (6-3) were defeated 14-10 tonight by the expansion La Raza de Monterrey (4-7) in front of a sell-out crowd at Compuware Arena.

La Raza jumped out to an early 6-0 lead as the Ignition were held scoreless throughout the first half. Ricardinho scored Detroit's first points of the night at 2:31 in the third quarter with a two-point score off an assist from Kyt Selaidopoulos. At 4:49, Monterrey forward Dino Delevski responded with another two points for the visitors. Ignition midfielder Ryan Mack cut La Raza's lead in half at 9:40 in the third period with a two-point goal to bring the score to 8-4.

Selaidopoulos, Jamar Beasley and Ricardinho all scored goals for Detroit in the fourth quarter, but the come-back wasn't enough to overtake La Raza who won the game 14-10.
