IFL Season Begins With Extreme Home-Opener

March 5, 2010 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Bloomington Extreme News Release

BLOOMINGTON (Ill.) - The Bloomington Extreme will begin the IFL season this Saturday, March 6 at U.S. Cellular Coliseum against the Richmond Revolution, beginning at 7 p.m. Last season the Extreme finished with a 10-5 record, and are looking to make a fourth straight playoff appearance this year. Tickets are available online at www.bloomingtonextreme.com or by phone at 309.434.2658.

The Revolution is an expansion team to the league this year, but both teams lack IFL experience. "We've got so many new faces this year," says Extreme head coach Kenton Carr. "Both teams have about the same experience, almost as if two expansion teams were playing each other."

Illinois State University alum, Luke Drone, will be starting at Quarterback for the Extreme on March 6, but other Quarterbacks on the roster may see playing time as well. Drones visiting counterpart, Bryan Randall, Quarterback for the Richmond Revolution, has been a focal point for the Extreme coaching staff. Randall is the all-time leading passer in both yards and touchdowns for Virginia Tech University, in addition to three years of NFL experience and looks to bombard the Extreme with an aerial assault.

"Fans will appreciate the talent that will be on the field," says Carr. "You can never prepare for 6,000 screaming fans, but this should turn out to be a good show."

Come support the Extreme this Saturday at the US Cellular Coliseum. All End Zone tickets are only $10 and include a free hot dog with each ticket purchased. Tickets can be purchased at the US Cellular Coliseum Box Office or by calling TicketMaster at 800.745.3000.
