IFL Announces Week Three Players of the Week

The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week three of the 2023 XV season. Norther Arizona Wide Receiver, Ramaud Chiaokhiao-Bowman is the Offensive Players of the Week. Quad City Defensive Back, Kendrick Gladney Jr, earns Defensive Player of the Week. Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Ernesto Lacayo, Kicker for the Duke City Gladiators.
Ramaud Chiaokhiao-Bowman - OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Northern Arizona hosted Vegas this past weekend and it was a great game to watch. NAZ would outscore Vegas 29-14 in the first half in what looked to be a route. The second half was a different story. Vegas outscored NAZ 28-19 in the final two frames making it a nail biter to the end. NAZ held on for the win, in big part, due to wide receiver, Ramaud Chiaokhiao-Bowman. Of the Wranglers 138 passing yards and three passing touchdowns, Chiaokhiao-Bowman hauled in 107 yards and all three of those scores.
Kendrick Gladney Jr. - DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Quad City was part of another great game as they hosted the Sioux Falls Storm on Saturday night. Quad City would win by a score of 36-34. The Storm offense struggled to gain momentum. Chalk a good portion of that up to Steamwheeler Defensive Back, Kendrick Gladney Jr. Gladney was a terror throughout the entire game. He accumulated four tackles, 1.5 of them for loss. He had two pass breakups, one of them by getting his hand on what would have been a 40-yard touchdown pass. He also added an interception when the Storm were at second and goal in the fourth quarter. Impact plays all night by #20.
Ernesto Lacayo - SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Duke City vs Frisco is quickly becoming must-watch football. Whenever these two teams meet it has promised to be a battle to the finish. Saturday night was no exception. Frisco took the win with yet another one-score victory, 60-55. In 2023, the IFL implemented the Deuce rule to be applied at any time during a game. The deuce is simply when the kicker attempts a field goal on the kickoff; it's worth two points. This is quickly becoming a major factor. Duke City Kicker, Ernesto Lacayo, connected on three deuce attempts on Saturday. He was also 1/1 on field goals and 4/5 on PATs for a total 13 points.
Week four of the 2023 XV IFL season features four games. There are three games scheduled for Saturday night and the weekend ends in Sioux Falls as they host Iowa at 5:05 CT on Sunday. Find the matchups, details and where to watch at www.GoIFL.com.
