IFL Announces Week Seven Players of the Week
April 28, 2022 - Indoor Football League (IFL) News Release
The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Players of the Week for Week 7 of the 2022 season. Northern Arizona Wide Receiver, Quentin Randolph took Offensive Player of the Week. Quad City Steamwheelers Defensive Back, Lukas Denis earned Defensive Player of the Week. Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Raysean Pringle of the Bay Area Panthers.
Quinten Randolph - OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Even in a loss, Northern Arizona put up an offensive performance to remember. The Wranglers scored a franchise record 62 points. Quarterback Kaleb Barker was exceptional. He threw for 226 yards and seven touchdown passes and added 53 yards rushing. Incredibly, this wasn't enough to beat out his own receiver for offensive player of the week. Wide Receiver Quinten Randolph laid down one the most impressive nights the league has seen. Randolph had seven receptions for 115 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran for 31 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Lukas Denis - DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Massachusetts followed last week's loss with their best defensive showing of the year. The Pirates racked up seven pass break-ups, three sacks and three interceptions while holding the Iowa Barnstormers to just 22 points. The Massachusetts defense was led by this week's defensive player of the week, Defensive Back, Lukas Denis. Denis was a force, accumulating 11 tackles, two tackles for loss, two pass break-ups and two interceptions.
Raysean Pringle - SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Raysean started the game the best way possible, he took the opening kick to the house. Just seconds into the game, Pringle had given the Bay Area Panthers a 6-0 lead over the Sioux Falls Storm. Pringle continued to make a big special-teams impact on the game throughout the night. He added two more kick returns for a total of 112 return yards and an average of over 37 yards per attempt.
Week 8 will have all 14 teams in action. The weekend kicks off on Friday and concludes Sunday with three games. Catch all of the action on our YouTube Channel.
