Idaho's Sholl Named Warrior Hockey/ECHL Goaltender of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Tomas Sholl of the Idaho Steelheads has been selected as the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month for March.

The 23-year-old went 8-0-1 with four shutouts, a 0.87 goals-against average and a save percentage of .965 in nine appearances during the month.

A native of Hermosa Beach, California, Sholl allowed two goals or less in each of his nine March appearances and made at least 23 saves in five of his nine games.

Sholl has seen action in 17 ECHL games this season with Adirondack and Idaho posting an overall record of 13-0-2 with four shutouts, a 1.37 goals-against average and a save percentage of .952. He began the season in the Southern Professional Hockey League with Macon and Evansville where he was 14-3-3 with one shutout, a 2.53 goals-against average and a save percentage of .917.

Prior to turning pro, Sholl saw action in 19 games over three seasons at Bowling Green State University going 7-10-0 with two shutouts, a 2.93 goals-against average and a save percentage of .891.

Runners Up: Martin Ouellette, Florida (7-0-0, 2.02 GAA, .927 save pct.), Pat Nagle, Toledo (9-1-1, 1.73 GAA, .940 save pct.) and Mitch Gillam, Worcester (10-2-1, 1.52 GAA, .947 save pct.)

Also Nominated: Garrett Bartus (Fort Wayne), Etienne Marcoux (Indy), Cal Heeter (Orlando), Parker Milner (South?Carolina), Jake Hildebrand (Tulsa), Joel Rumpel (Utah) and Adam Morrison (Wheeling).
