
Idaho's Jackson Named D-League Performer Of The Week

NEW YORK, Jan. 26, 2009 - Luke Jackson of the Idaho Stampede has been named NBA D-League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of Jan. 20, 2009. Jackson is the first Idaho player to earn the honor this season.
Jackson led the Stampede to a 2-1 record last week averaging 24.3 points, 6.7 assists and 5.0 rebounds. He scored a season-high 27 points in a win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Saturday at Qwest Arena in Boise.
A 6-7 forward, Jackson is averaging 16.5 points in his third season with the Stampede. Originally selected in the first round of the 2004 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jackson has earned three GATORADE Call-Ups from the Stampede over the past two seasons.
Other top performers last week included Albuquerque's Will Conroy, who averaged 30.7 points and 8.8 assists in four games for the Thunderbirds; Bighorn Patrick Ewing, Jr., who averaged 24.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in three games for Reno; Iowa's Othyus Jeffers, who averaged 20.7 points and 12.7 rebounds while leading the Energy to a 2-1 record for the week; James White, who averaged 32.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in four games for the Anaheim Arsenal; and Austin's Marcus Williams, who averaged 26.3 points and 6.0 rebounds in three games for the Toros.
