The Corpus Christi IceRays have traded for the rights to defenseman Jason Tessier from the Wichita Thunder in exchange for Jeremy Leroux, IceRays General Manager Pt Dunn announced today. The IceRays are expected to sign Tessier to a contract for the 2009-2010 season. Tessier will enter his tenth professional season with the IceRays. The 6'1", 208 lbs veteran from St-Jerome, Quebec is no stranger to Coach Brent Hughes. Tessier skated for the Austin Icebats in 2007-2008 season. He also had stops in El Paso, Rio Grande Valley, Memphis and Wichita. Tessier has compiled 68 goals, 236 assists in 475 games.
