CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - Corpus Christi goaltender Anthony Stolarz has received the Combat Hockey three stars of the week for his play this past weekend as the IceRays took all six possible points from opponents.

On Thursday, Stolarz stopped 29 of 30 shots in the shootout win over Odessa, while shutting out the Jackalopes the very next night 3-0 denying all 40 attempts by Odessa. Sunday afternoon Corpus Christi defeated the Texas Tornado 4-1 behind 33 saves from Stolarz. In all, he stopped 102 of 104 shots for a save percentage of 98.1%.

He delivered a complete weekend for us and continues to give us a chance to win each game," said IceRays head coach Justin Quenneville. "Since his commitment to Nebraska-Omaha he has been playing his best hockey of the season. I think he is still out to prove he is the best goalie in the country at this level."

It is the second time this year Stolarz has been chosen as one of the three stars of the week by Combat Hockey.

The IceRays are on the road this weekend as they take on the Wichita Falls Wildcats. Puck drops at 7:05PM, coverage begins at 6:50PM with the IceRays Pregame Show on ESPN Radio 1440AM.
