August 28, 2009 - All American Hockey League (AAHL)
Evansville IceMen News Release

Due to the recent announcement that the Whirlpool Plant in Evansville will be closing down in 2010, the Evansville IceMen of the All American Hockey League have announce that they will be offering free tickets to the teams home exhibition game on October 16th. The IceMen will take the ice against the Chi-Town Shooters of Dyer, Indiana and anyone with a valid Whirlpool ID will be admitted free.

"We saw what happened with Whirlpool and we wanted to extend a hand", IceMen General Manager Chip Rossetti said. "This is very sad news for the community and we want to show our support for the employees that are losing their jobs. If they can come out, even for just a few hours, and have some fun and put their problems aside, then it is all worth it.

The IceMen kick off their 2009-2010 training camp on October 12th, at Swonder Ice Arena. The team will be traveling to Dayton Ohio for an exhibition game against the Dayton Gems of the International Hockey League on Wednesday, October 14th, and will return home for the game against the Shooters on October 16th. On Saturday, October 17, the IceMen will travel to Dyer for one last preseason game against the Shooters. The IceMen will kick off the regular season in Madison Wisconsin against the Ice Muskies, before returning home on October 30th. Season ticket, Mini-Plan Package and Individual Game Ticket information is available on the IceMen website at www.evansvilleicemen.com or by calling the teams office at 812-435-8971.
