
Icehawks Make Roster Moves

Port Huron Icehawks News Release
PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Icehawks announced that they have made several roster moves as they prepare for two games this weekend with Kalamazoo.
Rookie Joel Gasper was re-signed to a contract and will be with the team tonight in Kalamazoo. In other roster moves, defenseman Justin Gutwald was waived and forward Rory Smith was placed on a non-roster spot. Smith has chosen to focus on his lacrosse career with the New York Titans in the National Lacrosse League.
Gasper was signed on October 23 and played two games with the Icehawks before he was waived. The forward recently completed his college career after four seasons with Robert Morris University (Pittsburgh, PA) in the NCAA and also played last season with the ECHL Johnstown Chiefs. He was teammates with Icehawks defenseman Rob Cowan at Robert Morris.
The Icehawks will travel to Kalamazoo tonight to meet the K-Wings for the first time this season. They return to McMorran Arena on Saturday for a rematch with Kalamazoo.

The Icehawks have introduced several ticket discounts this season, including $5 tickets for kids and seniors on Sundays and buy one, get one free tickets for Tuesday games.
