Louisiana IceGators Forward Tyler Barr vs. the Peoria Rivermen

Lafayette, LA- The deal has been signed, sealed, delivered and the Barr is set. Tyler Barr that is! Coach Drew Omicioli released the news today that the power forward is back for the 2015-2016 season.
"I am excited to have Tyler back in an IceGators uniform for the season," said Coach Drew Omicioli. "He's a very versatile player that along with intimidation brings a great offensive presence to our lineup."
At 6'2", 215lbs, this North Vancouver, British Columbia native will be entering his seventh professional season, his fourth with the IceGators. Tyler began his career with the IceGators during the 2012-2013 season. Unfortunately his season was cut short when during his first game he blew his ACL, which would require surgery and being placed on the injured reserve for the remainder of the season.
Tyler would return to the Gators for the 2013-2014 season after a brief stint with the St. Charles Chill of the Central Hockey League. During this 13-14 season he would play in 34 games posting 14 points (4g and 10 assists) and 160 penalty minutes.
For Tyler's third season with the organization he would play in 26 games scoring 3 goals, 4 assists and tallying up 184 PIMS before being called up to the Allen Americans of the ECHL for the remainder season. Despite only playing in 26 games for the IceGators last season, Tyler would finish third in the league with 16 majors.
"Last season we had the most success when Barr was in our lineup," added Omicioli. "The one two combo of Barr and Pisano will give our fans a show and allow their teammates to do what they do best knowing those two have their backs."
