
IceGators Add to Front Office

Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators today announced two new addition to the front office staff. Ron Handy, a former 100 point scorer for the team in 1996-97, was named as Sales Account Executive. Stephanie Poche joins the IceGators to work in Community Relations
Handy is best remembered by IceGator fans for "the move", his backhanded, shootout goal that gave the Gators their first Division title in 1995-96, will work primarily on corporate sponsorship for the upcoming season. Handy will also be a main component in the IceGators renewed efforts to promote and assist Louisiana youth hockey.
"I am thrilled to be back with the IceGators organization", said Handy. "Being an member of the original IceGator team, I want to see the IceGators back to where we used to be and at the same time, help future IceGators get their start."
Stephanie Poche moves into Community Relations after spending the past 3 months as a Sales Associate. Poche, a 21 year old native of New Orleans, will be responsible for appearance scheduling of IceGator players and Clawd, the IceGators mascot. Poche will also take over all responsibilities for running "Clawd's Krewe, the IceGators popular kids club.
