
IceCats Announce 1st Annual Golf Tournament

WORCESTER, MA- Worcester IceCats Executive VP/COO Kevin Cummings announced today that the âCats will be hosting a golf tournament on Tuesday, October 5th. The first annual event, which is open to the public, is being presented in conjunction with NewsTalk 580 WTAG and will take place at the Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton. The local chapter of the Salvation Army will benefit from the first-ever IceCats golf tournament.
Worcester IceCats players, coaches, mascots and personnel are expected to be on hand for the 12:00 PM shotgun start with an awards dinner reception and memorabilia auction to follow the tourney. Entry in the tournament includes golf and carts fees, lunch, dinner, raffles, giveaways and IceCats specialty golf gear. In addition, one member of the IceCats will be added to each foursome. Reservations and sponsorships for the event are currently being accepted by calling Nick Williams at the IceCats at 800-830-CATS.
The IceCats will open the 2004-2005 home slate at Worcester's Centrum Centre on October 16th against the Springfield Falcons. Faceoff is slated for 7:05 PM. Season ticket packages are on sale now at the IceCats offices, located at 105 Commercial Street in downtown Worcester and by contacting an IceCats ticket representative at 800-830-CATS.
