ICE Welcome Division Rival 'Canes for Family Day Game

Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE (11-36-7-1) welcome the Lethbridge Hurricanes (29-17-5-5) for the third and final time this season on Monday, February 18.

Puck drop is scheduled for 2 p.m. MT.

Monday's game is the ICE Family Day Game presented by Ktunaxa Nation, where all kids under the age of 12 receive FREE admission. It is important to note that all individuals, including kids under 12, must have a ticket to gain entry into Western Financial Place. All kids under 12 can pick up their FREE ticket to Monday's game at the ICE Gear Store or the box office.

The ICE are coming off of an 8-3 loss to the Saskatoon Blades on February 15. The ICE received goals from Peyton Krebs, Martin Bodak and Jaeger White. White led all ICE players with two points. Goaltender Jesse Makaj stopped 38-of-46 shots. The Blades received two goals from Eric Florchuk, Kyle Crnkovic and Ryan Hughes while Chase Wouters and Max Gerlach added singles. The ICE were outshot 46-31. They went 1-for-4 on the power play, 2-for-5 on the penalty kill and won 25-of-65 face-offs.

The ICE have amassed 30 points this season, which is good for sixth in the Central Division and 11th in the Eastern Conference.

The ICE have a home record of 7-18-3-0.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes visit the Kootenay ICE for the third and final time this season on Monday, February 18. The 'Canes enter this afternoon's game with four losses in their last six games. The 'Canes play 13 games in the month of February, this afternoon's game will be the ninth. Heading into the game, the 'Canes are second in the Central Division and fifth in the Eastern Conference.

The 'Canes are coming off of a 5-2 loss to the Saskatoon Blades on February 16. The 'Canes received goals from Taylor Ross and Jake Elmer. Ross led all 'Canes players with two points.
