Tri-City Americans News Release
The Americans played in Kamloops today for a Family Day matinee game against the Blazers.
Kamloops started the game strong with a frenzy of early shots. Conner Zary scored on the 12th shot of the game at 10:02 to get the Blazers on the board first. He extended the lead to 2-0 with another goal at 15:38.
After being out shot 15-7 in the first period, the Americans played a strong second period leading shots 16-9 but were unable to find the back of the net. Kamloops held their 2-0 lead until late third period.

Tri-City's late goal wasn't enough for a comeback. Kamloops added an empty net goal and sealed a final 3-1 victory. The two teams will meet again at the Sandman Centre on Wednesday, February 17.
Score: 3-1 Kamloops
Shots: 38-29 Americans
The Americans return to the Toyota Center tomorrow to play the Red Deer Rebels. It's a Tidbits $12 Tuesday.
