PRACTICE SCHEDULE: The Ice practices Wednesday and Thursday from 2:45-4:15 pm at Pepsi Coliseum and has a pre-game skate on Friday at Pepsi Coliseum from 10-10:30 am.
TWO STEP: In an odd week with no weekend games, the Ice went 2-0-0 with a 5-1 victory last Wednesday in Youngstown, OH and a 4-2 matinee win Monday over Waterloo from Pepsi Coliseum.
2/3 at YNG- Anthony Bitetto was a part of all five goals as the second-year defenseman had a five-point night (2G, 3A) in the victory. Cab Morris stopped 33 of 34 shots between the pipes.
2/8 vs. WAT- Despite being out shot 46-19, Cab Morris was superb in net with 44 saves and Antti Roppo connected for the game-winner with just two minutes in regulation to give the Ice the victory.
BROKEN RECORD: With his big-time outing in Youngstown, OH, defenseman Anthony Bitetto etched his name into the Ice record books as he became the first player in franchise history to record five points in a game.
THE HEAT IS ON: Anthony Bitetto has 11 points (3G, A) in his last six games....Nick Bailen enters this weekend on a six-game point streak and he is tied for second among USHL defensemen in points (28)...Antti Roppo is riding a five-game point streak...Cab Morris is first in save percentage (.924) and second in GAA (2.21) in the league and he stopped an Ice season-best 44 shots in Monday's win against Waterloo...Bryon Paulazzo has ten points (3G, 7A) in his last ten games and has the same amount of points (17) at home and on the road....Max Cook has a goal in two consecutive games and Blake Coleman has at least a point in two straight contests.
TEAM NOTES: The Ice traded defenseman Justin Agosta to New Jersey (EJHL) for future considerations and returned goaltender Sam Marotta to South Shore (EJHL)...Indy is 15-5-0 against the East Division, but just 8-10-2 against the West...The Ice has won three straight games at home...Indiana is the league's top penalty killing unit at home (87.5%).
ALUM REPORT: Cody Reichard-Miami tossed a 33-save shutout in a 2-0 win over Lake Superior State on 2/5....Jay Clark-Army turned back 35 of 36 shots in a 4-1 win over Holy Cross on 2/6....Garrett Roe-St. Cloud scored twice in a 6-0 shutout of Alaska on 2/6...Eddie Del Grosso-UNO compiled three points (G, 2A) in a three-point weekend for UNO against Ohio State.
