Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Ice look to build on the momentum of Friday night's 3-1 win over the Youngstown Phantoms tonight as they host the Omaha Lancers from Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 7:05 pm.
Indy is coming off their second win of the season as the Ice toppled Youngstown 3-1 at the Covelli Centre on Friday. Jason Salvaggio, Jacob Pritchard and Joshua Jacobs all recorded goals in the contest while Jason Pawloski logged his first win in net with 20 saves on 21 shots.
Omaha will be wrapping up a three-game road trip tonight after earning a come-from-behind 5-3 win against the Chicago Steel. Gage Hough notched a pair of goals in the contest while Tyler Hynes also marked a two-point night (G, A) for the Lancers.
This will mark the first of two contests between Indy and Omaha this season with the later contest occurring at Ralston Arena in late November. The Ice blanked the Lancers 2-0 in their only meeting during the 2012-2013 season. Dalton Izyk earned his second career shutout with an 18-save performance in the home opener while Austin Ortega and Brian Morgan lit the lamp for the hosts.
Tonight's "Kaplan University Night" contest, sponsored by Kaplan University, marks the first match of a seven-game home stretch for Indy.
Season and group tickets are now on sale for all 2013-2014 Indiana Ice home games. Flex packages and additional ticket packages are available starting as low as $50. For more information, call the Indiana Ice at (317) 925-4423.
