Indiana Ice News Release

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Ice announced today that goaltender Hayden Stewart has been named the USHL Goaltender of the Week. This is the first time in his USHL career that Stewart has been picked for the weekly honor.

Stewart was the key contributor in two of Indy's three weekend victories as the Rockford, IL-native blanked the Youngstown Phantoms in a pair of contests on Saturday and Sunday to earn his fourth and fifth consecutive victories with the Ice.

5,848 fans watched as the Rockford, IL-native turned aside all of the Phantoms' 17 shots in Saturday's 3-0 "Scout Night" from Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Stewart faced twice as much rubber in Sunday's rematch against Youngstown at the Covelli Centre, but was again equal to the task in the 2-0 matinee win.

Beginning the season with the Dubuque Fighting Saints, Stewart has recorded a perfect 5-0-0 mark since joining the Indy roster in mid January while compiling a 0.60 GAA and a .974 save percentage. He previously recorded one shutout earlier in the season with Dubuque, silencing the Chicago Steel on 39 scoring opportunities in late October.

Stewart and the Ice return to action this weekend with a pair of Pan Am Pavilion games against the Tri-City Storm on Friday (2/14) and Saturday (2/15) before hitting the road against Team USA U17 on Sunday (2/16). Both home games are scheduled to begin at 7:05 pm while Sunday's contest is set for 3:30 pm.

The Indiana Ice will host the 20th annual "Pack the House for Charity" night on Saturday, March 1 from Bankers Life Fieldhouse against the Chicago Steel. A portion of the proceeds from every individual and group ticket sold will be donated to charities in the Central Indiana area. Corporate packages with donation and marketing aspects are also available through the Indiana Ice office.

Group tickets are now on sale for all 2013-2014 Indiana Ice home games. Flex packages and additional ticket packages are available starting as low as $50. For more information, call the Indiana Ice at (317) 925-4423.
