Colorado Crush News Release
(Loveland, CO) - The Colorado Ice get their second road win and stay undefeated by beating the Bricktown Brawlers 38 - 26 in Oklahoma City.
The Ice keep their winning streak alive by spreading the ball around to key players on offense and by the hard hitting and good hands on the defense. David Knighton (15) threw for 4 touchdowns and ran the ball in for a two point conversion. Lemans Casimier (3) put up some more stats by haling in two touchdown passes in the first half.
Duane Brooks (2) stepped up when running back Terry Washington (21) was sidelined in the first quarter. Brooks' kickoff returns and rushing touchdown helped keep the Ice ahead of the Brawlers. Mark Henderson (1) saw the field for his first game of the season and came up with a touchdown and fumble recovery, while Jason English (8) helped move the ball down the field for a touchdown in the second quarter.
Defensive players have been consistently working hard in each game to keep their opponents with the lowest scores possible. Tonight they continued this with three sacks and two interceptions. Sacks were awarded to Xavier Manuel (55), who was playing both sides of the ball, Prince Hall (40) and Dominic Applehans (51). Tyrone King (7) had a good game coming up with two interceptions for 24 yards and a touchdown.
