Indiana Ice News Release

Indianapolis, IN-The Indiana Ice is proud to announce that Garrett Roe has verbally committed to St. Cloud State University. Roe becomes the second member of the Ice family to join the Huskies after Captain Ryan Peckscamp committed in October.

"Garret Roe epitomizes what every hockey team seeks in a complete player," stated Indiana Ice President/G.M. Paul Skjodt. "Not only is he a fine student athlete, but his passion, heart, and style of play is something that no one can teach. We know he will be a Husky fan favorite from day one"

For the current season, Roe has played in eleven games and registered a total of 10 points (4G, 6A). The Vienna, VA native has been an integral part in sparking the Ice to a 5-4-3 record heading into this Saturday's matchup against Green Bay. The two-year USHL and Indiana Ice veteran tallied 21 points (6G, 15A) in 49 games last season for the Ice.

St. Cloud State is a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association which is home to prestigious programs such as the University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, Colorado College (currently ranked #1) and defending back-to-back National Champion Denver University.

"Garrett will be playing for a great team and an excellent coaching staff," stated Ice Head Coach Dean Grillo. "Coach [Bob] Motzko will continue to build a winning program and it's great to see that he signed Garrett as one of his first recruits."
