Ice Flyers Celebrate 20TH Anniversary Weekend, Bring Back Former Players

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Pensacola Ice Flyers will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Pensacola Hockey during the weekend of April 1-3 with the final two home games of the regular seasonwhen they host the Huntsville Havoc, a golf tournament, while bringing back former Ice Flyers and Ice Pilots to participate throughout the weekend.

Former Ice Flyers who have been invited to attend and are confirmed to return to Pensacola are Jordan Chong, Tyler Soehner, Dan Buccella, and Joe Bueltel. The former Ice Pilots confirmed to participate in the weekend are Chad Quenneville, Andrew Rodgers, Shane Calder, Kelly Hultgren, and Scott Malone. Former Ice Flyer captain Mark Hinz and former Ice Pilot goalie Sean Gauthier are possible attendees for the weekend.

Prior to both games, the former players will be introduced and take part in the pre-game festivities. During the first intermission on both nights, the players will be on the ice, participating in special intermission contests. Following the game on Friday, fans will be able to purchase authentic 20th Anniversary of Pensacola Hockey jerseys of the former Ice Flyers and Ice Pilots players in a post-game jersey auction.

On Saturday, April 2, fans are invited to enjoy a pre-game Party on the Plaza on the west side of the Pensacola Bay Center. This will also be a meet-and-greet and autograph session with the former players from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. After Saturday's game, there will be a post-game jersey auction of the jerseys worn during the weekend's games by the Ice Flyers

The weekend will wrap up on Sunday, April 3 with the 20th Anniversary Weekend Golf Tournament at Stonebrook Golf Club. The cost is $65 per golfer with each foursome being golfing with a current Ice Flyers player. Some of the former players will also be at the golf tournament for fans to see and visit with.
