Saskatoon, SK - The Kootenay ICE (5-7-2-1) continue its four-game Saskatchewan road trip when it visits the Saskatoon Blades (9-5-2-0) on Thursday, November 1.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.

The ICE are coming off of a 2-1 shootout victory over the Swift Current Broncos on Tuesday, October 30. Brett Davis scored the lone goal of the game for the ICE, assisted by Peyton Krebs and Dallas Hines. Krebs and Davis both scored in the shootout, while goaltender Jesse Makaj stopped both shooters he faced. Makaj finished the game with 41 saves, was awarded first star and also collected the first victory of his WHL career. The ICE were outshot 42-29. They went 1-for-2 on the power play, 4-for-4 on the penalty kill and won 36-of-68 face-offs.

The ICE have amassed 13 points this season, which is good for fifth in the Central Division and ninth in the Eastern Conference.

The ICE have a road record of 1-3-1-1.

The Blades are in the middle of a stretch where they play seven-of-eight games away from SaskTel Centre. The lone home game mixed into that stretch is Thursday's match-up with the ICE. After Thursday, the next home game for the Blades will be November 13 against the Medicine Hat Tigers. The Blades have lost three of its last four games.

The Broncos are coming off of a 5-3 victory over the Calgary Hitmen on Sunday, October 28. Kirby Dach scored twice while Eric Florchuk, Josh Paterson and Kristian Roykas Marthinsen potted the others. Goaltender Nolan Maier stopped 38-of-41 shots. The Blades and Hitmen each had 41 shots. The Blades went 1-for-6 on the power play, 3-for-3 on the penalty kill and won 29-of-64 face-offs.

The Blades have collected 20 points this season, which is good for second in the East Division and third in the Eastern Conference.

The Blades have a home record of 4-2-1-0.
