Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE (8-27-6-1) begin a stretch of six games on the road against the Lethbridge Hurricanes (21-10-4-4) on Wednesday, January 9.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.

The ICE are coming off of a 6-0 loss to the Vancouver Giants on January 6. Goaltender Duncan McGovern stopped 24-of-30 shots that came his way. The Giants received goals from Milos Roman, Brayden Watts, Jadon Joseph, Dawson Holt, Lukas Svejkovsky and Dallas Hines. The ICE were outshot 30-24. They went 0-for-5 on the power play, 0-for-2 on the penalty kill and won 18-of-48 face-offs.
The ICE have amassed 23 points this season, which is good for sixth in the Central Division and 11th in the Eastern Conference.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes host the ICE for the second time this season on Wednesday, January 9. Wednesday's game begins a three-game homestead for the 'Canes, who will face the Oil Kings on January 11 and the ICE, again, on January 12. The 'Canes have earned at least one point in five-straight games. Currently, the 'Canes are in the middle of a stretch of seven-straight games against Central Division opponents. Heading into Wednesday's game, the 'Canes are first in the Central Division and third in the Eastern Conference.
The Hurricanes are coming off of a 5-2 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings on January 6. The 'Canes received goals from Dylan Cozens, Logan Barlage, Taylor Ross, Noah Boyko and Jordy Bellerive.
