Indiana Ice News Release
INDIANAPOLIS, IN-The Indiana Ice (9-13-4) return from a holiday break to host the Waterloo Black Hawks (11-13-2) Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the Pepsi Coliseum.
Waterloo will be returning to Indianapolis for the first time since the two teams split a weekend series in October. For the Ice, defenseman Mike Phillippi will look to continue his season-high assist streak, which stood at three games before the break. Leading the way as of late for the Ice has been star defensemen Eddie Del Grosso, who has registered four goals and five assists in the past seven games.
The Ice will be without the services of forwards Justin Milo and Sean Dolan, as well as defenseman Tristin Llewellyn. The talented trio is currently playing for team USA in the Viking Cup held in Alberta, Canada. Team USA defeated Germany yesterday 8-4 with the help of Milo's two assists in the first period.
The Ice will also be in action on Friday, December 30, as the team hosts the Des Moines Buccaneers at 7 p.m. at the Pepsi Coliseum.
