Hynick earns another honor

Casper, WY - The Casper Rockies' RHP Brandon Hynick has earned his second Pioneer League Pitcher of the Week honor for the week of August 7th to the 13th.
Hynick, a 6-3 righty out of North Royalton, Ohio, started two games for the Rockies and struck out 13 batters with a 1.59 ERA. He pitched 11.1 innings allowing ten hits with one walk allowing only two earned runs.
Hynick, drafted in the 8th round of the 2006 draft, was also named the Pitcher of the Week for the week of July 17th to the 23rd and was named the Colorado Rockies Organizational Player for the month of July. He is currently 4-3 this season with a 2.33 ERA. He has given up just 15 earned runs in 54 innings this season.
