Lethbridge Hurricanes News Release
Lethbridge, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes raised their home record to 8-3-0-0 as they snapped a six game losing streak this past weekend. Carter Ashton tallied the first hat trick of his WHL career to help lead the Canes to a 5-3 win over the visiting Edmonton Oil Kings on Sunday night. 3500 plus were on hand to welcome the Hurricanes back to the friendly confines of the ENMAX Centre and the Canes were able to reciprocate with their first win in their last seven games. The Canes now prepare this week for an important three games as they play host to the Prince Albert Raiders and Medicine Hat Tigers before finishing off with a Saturday night matchup in Red Deer.
Storm Warnings:
Home sweet home: Thus far this season, the Canes have an 8-3-0-0 record at home and have outscored their opponents 38-24 within the friendly confines of the ENMAX Centre.
Leading the way - Colton Sceviour (9G, 19A), Dwight King (11G, 14A), Carter Ashton (10G, 4A) and Carter Bancks (3G, 11A) are the Hurricanes current scoring leaders. Mitch Versteeg leads all Canes D-men in scoring with nine points (3G, 6A)
World Class Hockey - Zach Boychuk and Colton Sceviour received invites for the 2008 ADT Canada Russia Challenge Nov.26 &27 in Swift Current and Prince Albert. For Sceviour it will be his 1st selection while Boychuk will represent Team WHL for the third straight season.
Answering the call - Alex Theriau was selected to represent Team Pacific at the upcoming World U17 Hockey Challenge in Port Alberni, BC from Dec. 29 - Jan. 4, 2009. in 07-08 WHL rookies Carter Ashton (Team Western) and Brennan Yadlowski (Team Pacific) played for their respective teams at the 2007 World U17 Hockey Challenge in London, Ont. with Ashton helping lead his team to a bronze medal.

The Hurricanes will welcome the Raiders to town for the first time in the 2008-2009 season on this night. Last year, the Canes posted a 4-0-0-0 record against P.A. Hurricanes Season Ticket Holders should note this is the second of the Hurricanes three season ticket exchange nights for the 08-09 season. Any unused season ticket can be exchanged at the ticket centre prior to the game. Tickets are subject to availability and a $2 per ticket exchange fee.

Friday, Nov.21 - GAME NIGHT - Medicine Hat @ Lethbridge
The Lethbridge Hurricanes will play their third regular season match up against their old Southern Alberta rivals; the Medicine Hat Tigers on this night. The Canes split their first home and home series with the Tigers earlier this season as Dwight King tallied a highlight reel overtime winner to tame the Tabbies in a 1-0 contest on Sept.26/08. The Canes will look to improve on their record of 3-3-1-1 against the Tigers from last season.

Saturday, Nov.22 - GAME NIGHT - Lethbridge @ Red Deer
The Canes will head on up Highway Two to take on the Rebels in Red Deer on this night. Lethbridge will look to continue their solid play against the Rebs after posting a 4-1-0-1 record against them last season including a 2-0-0-1 record in Red Deer.
