
Hurricanes Trim Training Camp Roster to 26, Send Five to Charlotte

RALEIGH, NC - Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has assigned five players from its training camp to its top minor-league affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
The five players assigned to Charlotte are forwards Jon Matsumoto, Riley Nash, Jerome Samson and Jared Staal, as well as defenseman Bryan Rodney. An updated Hurricanes training camp roster is attached to this release.
