Anaheim Assigns Four Players to Crunch

Syracuse, NY (September 26, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have assigned the following four players to the Crunch.

Player (Position)

Jake Newton (Defenseman)

Timo Pielmeier (Goaltender)

MacGregor Sharp (Center)

Trevor Smith (Center)

In addition, Anaheim assigned goaltender Igor Bobkov to his junior club (London/OHL) and released left wing Stephane Veilleux from his professional tryout contract.

The Crunch now have 38 players on their training camp roster - 22 forwards, 11 defensemen and five goaltenders.

Season tickets for the 2010-11 season are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
