The Halifax Hurricanes couldn't overcome a third-quarter surge by the Cape Breton Highlanders after leading them by 19 at the half, ultimately losing 117-114 on Friday night at home.
The Hurricanes were on the wrong side of a 39-17 run by the Highlanders in the third quarter.
The Hurricanes effort was led by Antoine Mason, who finished with 19 points.
Mason was also honoured before the game with a ring by Chair of the Board of Directors for the Halifax Hurricanes Jim Mills for his Sixth Man of the Year award for the 2016-17 season.
Billy White also has 19 points for the Hurricanes, along with 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
Ta'Quan Zimmerman had 18 points on 3-7 shooting from three.
