
Hurricanes Defeat Miracles

Halifax, (NS) - Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club defeated the Moncton Miracles 97-89 in NBLC action March 9th, at the Scotiabank Centre. After suffering two losses in a row, the Hurricanes are back in the win column, with this win the Hurricanes are 15-7.
Hurricanes led the Miracles at the end of the first quarter 24-19. In the second quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Miracles 25-22, and lead 49-41 at halftime. In the third quarter the Miracles outscored the Hurricanes 24-25. The Hurricanes outscored the Miracles 24-23 in the final quarter and the Hurricanes prevailed; The final score of the game was 97-89.
Guard, Justin Johnson led the Hurricanes and all scorers with 31 points and 6 rebounds. Forward, Billy White scored 19 points. Forward, Anthony Criswell scored 11 points. Center, Kyle Hunt scored 10 points.
Guard, Tydran Beaty led the Miracles with 26 points and 8 rebounds. Guard, James Justice scored 21 points for the Miracles. Guard, Dextler Strickland scored 11 points.
