Halifax Hurricanes Power Forward Mike Glover Goes to the Hoop

Halifax, (NS) - The Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club were in action April 10th at the Scotiabank against the Saint John Mill Rats. The Hurricanes fell to the Mill Rats yesterday at the Harbour Station, but defeated the Mill Rats this afternoon 143-103. The Hurricanes now have a record of 23-9, leading the Atlantic Conference and the league in wins. With this loss the Mill Rats have a record of 21-13 and are in second place in the Atlantic Division.
Hurricanes led the Mill Rats 35-26 after the first quarter, and at halftime the Hurricanes led the Mill Rats 69-52. The Hurricanes outscored the Mill Rats 43-21 in the third quarter, and in the fourth quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Mill Rats 31-30, enough to earn a victory over the Mill Rats 143-103.
Forward, Billy White scored 19 points. Guard, Cameron Bennerman scored 19 points. Guard, Justin Johnson scored 17 points and totalled 10 assists for a double-double. Forward, Renaldo Dixon scored 15 points. Guard, Joel Friesen scored 15 points. Center, Kyle Hunt scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Forward, Mike Glover scored 14 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Guard, Shane Gibson scored 11 points. Guard, Cliff Clinkscales scored 10 points and totalled 10 assists.
Center, Keith Gayden led all scorers with 24 points. Guard, Chris Smith scored 20 points. Forward, Olu Famutimi scored 18 points. Forward, Garrius Holloman scored 12 points. Guard, Jabs Newby scored 10 points.
The Hurricanes will face the London Lightning Thursday April 14th at the Scotiabank Centre at 7:00pm.
