Philadelphia Wings News Release

The Philadelphia Wings transformed the Wells Fargo Center into a "dog house" as fans and dog lovers alike brought their furry friends to cheer the Wings on during a thrilling 16-15 overtime loss to the Colorado Mammoth Sunday afternoon.

In celebration of Wings mascot Mad Dog's birthday, Wings fans were invited to bring their canine friends to Wells Fargo Center for one night only to "bark in the bowl". The entire mezzanine level was reserved for dogs and their owners and featured hydration stations, dog treats, "wee-wee" areas and Philadelphia-area dog vendors.

Fans who did not come to the Wings game with a dog even had the opportunity to go home with one as Red Paws Emergency Relief brought adoptable dogs that could be adopted on site and taken home after the game.

Additionally, canine celebrity "Oogy", whose heart-warming story "Oogy: The Dog Only a Family Could Love" was on the New York Times Best Seller List for 18 weeks, participated in the honorary face-off before the game.

The Wings will play their final home game of the regular season on Friday, April 6 at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at WingsLAX.com or by phone at 215-389-WING.
