
Houston Dash to Honor Our Heroes on September 11

HOUSTON - The Houston Dash will honor men and women in uniform at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11 as they host the Boston Breakers at BBVA Compass Stadium for their third annual Honoring Our Heroes Night presented by Michelob Ultra.
The Dash, in collaboration with Haley's Heroes, will recognize the men and women during pre-game and halftime ceremonies. Haley's Heroes is managed by Haley Carter, a reserve goalkeeper for the Dash and a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, who is also an assistant coach for the Afghanistan Women's National Team.
The first 2,500 fans to enter the stadium will receive a Dash USA koozie courtesy of Michelob Ultra. Last year, more than 800 tickets were donated to Houston-area military and first responders groups for the game. Individuals, companies or groups can support this special event by donating blocks of 10, 25, 50 or 100 tickets for local military and first responder families to enjoy the game at BBVA Compass Stadium on Sept. 11.

ABOUT THE HOUSTON DASH The Houston Dash are a National Women's Soccer League club that began play in April 2014 for the start of the league's second season. The Dash were the first expansion club in the NWSL, joining the eight original members that launched the league in 2013. The NWSL is supported by the Canadian Soccer Association, Federation of Mexican Football and the United States Soccer Federation. It is the top-flight women's professional soccer league in North America, featuring many of the top players from the United States, Canada and Mexico, as well as talent from around the world. The 20-game regular season runs from April through September.
