Houston Dash Open Training Camp and Announce 2020 Preseason Schedule

HOUSTON - The Houston Dash will open training camp on Monday, March 9 at Houston Sports Park under the direction of second-year head coach James Clarkson, the club announced today.

The club also announced its preseason game schedule as the team prepares for the 2020 National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) regular season.

The Dash will play the women's soccer teams from four Texas-based universities in addition to an intrasquad scrimmage to prepare for their seventh season in the NWSL.

Houston will host the University of Texas women's soccer program for their first preseason scrimmage of the year at 2 p.m. on March 14 at the Houston Sports Park. The Longhorns finished their season a 11-8-1 record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season.

One week later, the Dash travel to play an intrasquad scrimmage at College Station for their only preseason match outside of Houston on March 21 at Ellis Field.

The Dash will scrimmage against the Dynamo Academy U-15 team at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 at Houston Sports Park prior to hosting the Texas Tech University women's team, ranked in the top 20 by the NCAA, at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 28.

The Dash will conclude their preseason when they host Southern Methodist University for their last scrimmage before opening the 2020 NWSL season at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 5 at Houston Sports Park.
