Hounds Receive Honors

WHEELING, WV - The Ohio Valley Greyhounds are pleased to announce two Hounds have received UIF Player of the Week accolades.

Dodrill was the leader of the Greyhounds defense this past weekend against Fort Wayne's Freedom. This is Brock's third Defensive Player of the Week honor in the 2006 season. Defensive standout at linebacker, Dodrill made seven solo tackles and three assisted for a total of 8.5 on the night. He also had one pass breakup as well. On the season Brock leads the league in total tackles with 115.0, with 89 solo and 52 assisted for an average of 8.8 a game. Dodrill has already broken the UIF's record for most tackles in a season, currently held by Connie Brown of the Evansville BlueCats who has 107.0 last season.

Quarterback Matt Kohn received Player of the Week Honorable Mention completing 22 of 33 passes, accumulating 276 yards, and tossing 4 touchdown passes.

The Greyhounds are back in action this Saturday at WesBanco Arena, taking on division rival Evansville BlueCats. Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the WesBanco Arena box office by calling (304) 233-4470.
