Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks News Release

*FARGO, N.D. *- Jesse Hoorelbeke sent his dad a special happy father's day messages hitting a Northern League and Fargo-Moorhead record four homeruns in Sunday's 14-3 play-date with the Edmonton Cracker-Cats to complete a four-game sweep at Newman Outdoor Field.

Hoorelbeke homered in three consecutive innings from the second to the fourth and collected a team record eight runs batted it. His first home run came in the second inning after Eric Kofler reached on a single. His second home run was a solo shot over the center field wall and his third came in the fourth inning with Richard Austin on first.

In the sixth inning he was the fifth RedHawk to come to the plate and he struck a three run homerun that was struck so well that the Edmonton center fielder didn't even move as he watched the ball sail over his head.

His four homeruns tied a league record that was set in 2000 when Harry Berrios and Ryan Jones both had four in their respective games on June 21 and Aug 8.

The RedHawks also received a solid performance from their pitching staff throughout the day. Mike Peschel pitched 5.0 innings and allowed all three Cracker-Cat runs before giving way to Jason Glosser who pitched three scoreless innings. Peschel was credited with the win and moves to 2-3 on the season. He also struck out a season-high six batters.

Fargo-Moorhead (21-9) will next be in action as they get on the bus and head to Gary, Ind., to take on the RailCats. Brandon Culp (2-2, 5.40) will head to the mound for the RedHawks to take on Jason Shelley (3-2, 4.67) for the RailCats. The first pitch is schedule to take place at 7:00 p.m. and all the action can be heard on 970 AM WDAY with RedHawks play-by-play man, Scott Miller.
