CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - In an exciting back-and-forth battle, the RoughRiders fell 5-4 to Corpus Christi Thursday night at Whataburger Field.
SYNOPSIS
* Frisco took a 4-3 lead in the 11th on a RBI single from Andretty Cordero but the Hooks countered with a walk-off, two-run homer in the bottom of the frame.
* Reliever Walker Weickel escaped jams in the ninth and 10th innings to keep the Riders alive.
* Down 2-1 in the eighth, Juremi Profar swatted a go-ahead two-run homer to left to restore the Riders lead.
* Starter Pedro Payano fired six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and a walk, to secure his second quality start.
