AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Sod Poodles are set to open the 2026 season at HODGETOWN with a three-game series against the Springfield Cardinals (Double-A, St. Louis Cardinals). Opening Day is scheduled for Friday, April 3 with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch that kicks off a weekend full of exciting events, highlighted by the return of baseball to the Panhandle.
Coming off an appearance in the Texas League Playoffs last year, the Sod Poodles are officially back and ready for a new season in Amarillo. Led by second-year Manager Javier Colina, some of the most exciting prospects in baseball will be in town this season. Additionally, there are plenty of exciting promotions, giveaways, theme nights, and more to look forward to in 2026, and it all starts with Opening Weekend beginning this Friday, April 3.
