MILWAUKEE, WI (Feb. 23, 2007) - Whether you are "living the dream" or simply "cautiously optimistic," there is a spot for you in the "Homer Corner" Sunday, March 4 as the Milwaukee Wave host the Detroit Ignition.
A "bobble leg" doll featuring the likeness of ESPN Milwaukee talk show host Steve "The Homer" True will be given to the first 1,500 fans through the door. In addition, Homer himself will make an appearance and is inviting fans to join him in the "Homer Corner," where tickets are only $5 - a $9 savings from the regular price.
To get these special tickets, simply call the Milwaukee Wave ticket office at (414) 224-9283 and say, "I am a Homer too!" Supply is limited but the number you can buy is restricted only by the number of seats in the section.
Listen to Homer's show from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays at 1510 AM for more details. A Wave player appearance is tentatively scheduled for Thursday's broadcast.
The Wave enters this Saturday's game at Philadelphia with an 11-10 record; Detroit is 12-9. Milwaukee leads the Major Indoor Soccer League in scoring at 13.7 points per game; Detroit is the top defensive team, allowing just 10.5 points per game. The March 4 game also features the MISL's top three scorers - Detroit's Jamar Beasley (75 points) and the Wave's Greg Howes (70 points) and Todd Dusosky (69 points).
