Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. (October 20, 2015) - The Quad City Mallards raise the curtain on their 2015-16 home slate with three promotion-packed games in three nights this weekend at the iWireless Center beginning with Friday night's 7:05 p.m. home opener against the Tulsa Oilers.
The Mallards will hit the ice again Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. for a rematch with the Oilers before capping off the weekend by taking on the Wichita Thunder Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
An opening night fireworks show outside the iWireless Center will follow Friday night's game (in the event of inclement weather, the fireworks display will be rescheduled for a later date). Friday also brings the return of $1 Dog/$1 Beer Night presented by 97X. In addition, every Friday game this season will be a MetroLINK College Night. The Mallards have once again partnered with Metro to provide transit service between Augustana College and downtown Moline during all Friday home games. As part of Metro's unlimited ride program, Augustana riders can use their Augustana ID as their fare.
Fans who bring a canned food item to Friday night's game will receive a voucher good for $5 off a ticket to Saturday night's contest. All donations will benefit the River Bend Foodbank.
Saturday evening is Harris Pizza Anti-Bullying Night. Area elementary and middle school students can sign the SCORE anti-bullying pledge when arriving for the game and receive free tickets to that game. The first 1,000 youngsters 12 and under through the doors after signing the pledge will receive free Harris Pizza/Mallards anti-bullying t-shirts.
The Quad Cities this summer were named the number one minor league market in the nation. The Mallards will join with the Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau to thank the fans of the Quad Cities- without whom this achievement would not have been possible- by offering 50 percent off all tickets to Sunday's game. After that game fans can join the Mallards on the ice for Skate with the Mallards presented by B100.
