
Hogs Sign Henningson to PTO

Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Thursday that the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League have signed defenseman Dan Henningson to a professional try-out (PTO).
Henningson, 27, shows three points (1g-2a) in 23 games with the ECHL's Chicago Express. The Edmonton, Alberta native has also appeared in five contests with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, tallying an assist on Dec. 17 against Norfolk.
The defenseman has 15 games of AHL experience under his belt with the Lake Erie Monsters (2008-09) and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (2011-12).
Last season, Henningson appeared in 68 tilts for the Wheeling Nailers, recording 18 points (5g-13a). The 27 year-old also paced all Nailers d-men and tied for sixth best among all skaters in the ECHL with a plus/minus rating of +19.
Next Home Game: Monday, Jan. 16 vs. Texas Stars. Game time is 1:05 p.m. The IceHogs return home for the first time in more than two weeks for the annual Martin Luther King Jr. matinee game to take on the Stars for the second and final time at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The first 1,500 kids 14 and under will pick up an IceHogs Drawstring Bag courtesy of Frito Lay.
